Vehicle Description Very clean 1983 Ninety-Eight Regency with 49,000 original miles.
The previous owner was an Oldsmobile enthusiast that pampered the car and is a meticulous collector.
He built the car into what it is today and set it up to be a great luxury cruiser.
The 2 door body is very solid with no signs of rust or issues.
It is painted in a very nice Cream color paired with a Brown Landau style top.
It is the original paint and in remarkable condition for its age.
All of the exterior stainless trim and chrome pieces are in good condition with a nice shine.
The glass is all good as well and free from any chips or cracks.
The car sits on its original wheels with thin white wall tires and spoke hubcaps.
The tires are P215/75R15 and were just replaced in late September of 2021.
Originally this classic featured a 307 V8 but that motor was carefully removed and exchanged for a built up 1979 Oldsmobile 403 small block.
Looking under the hood you would have a tough time determining it wasn't the factory motor.
It all has a very stock appearance with only the Chromed air cleaner appearing non original.
The motor runs very strong and has no problem propelling this Ninety Eight down the road.
It was built up with 1971 7A heads, a mild Edelbrock cam, Comp roller tip rockers, Nodular crank, Dick Miller main girdle, and ARP fasteners resulting in a 9:
1 compression ratio.
The motor isn't too radical but definitely has been nicely built up for some extra power.
The carburetor was jetted and tuned to the 403 by a professional GM technician.
It has a custom mandrel bent 2 1/4 dual Y-pipe off exhaust manifolds leading to a 3 inch single exhaust all the way back to the brand new aftermarket muffler.
Paired with the motor is a 200R4 automatic transmission with a new torque converter that shifts smoothly and sends power back to the stock rear end.
The suspension system is mostly the stock setup but an Impala SS rear stabilizer bar has been added.
The power brakes, power steering, and AC/Heat make it a very comfortable cruiser and all systems work properly.
Recent servicing include a fresh wheel alignment, check of the charging system, adjusted timing and a tune on the carburetor.
